United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Defenders Mary Lawlor on Friday criticised India’s handling of rights activists, reported The Indian Express. Lawlor was speaking at an online event marking the 100 days of imprisonment of activist Stan Swamy.
मानव अधिकारों पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र की विशेष प्रतिनिधि मैरी लॉयर ने शुक्रवार को मानवाधिकार कार्यकर्ताओं की सुरक्षा को लेकर भारत की आलोचना की। एक्टिविस्ट स्टैन स्वामी के 100 दिनों के कारावास को एक ऑनलाइन कार्यक्रम में मैरी लॉलर का ये बयान सामने आया। उन्होने कहा कि, भारत एक ऐसा राज्य है जो मानवाधिकारों की रक्षा करने वालों की ठीक से रक्षा नहीं करता है।
